'Amy Lye' is a very old hardy Fuchsia cultivar with large single flowers with sepals of white with light pink tones surrounding a corolla of deep coral/rose.To 3' tall in a season and arching. Part shade and rich soil with regular water in a cool position. Pinch early to encourage branching and mulch in the fall. Great old standby garden Fuchsia.  Fertilize several times a season. Beautiful in its simplicity 'Flash' is an extremely hardy Fuchsia  that will reach 4' tall in a single season.  Single flowers with sepals of bright red and a corolla that emerges brick red or magenta and then turns to the same bright red.  Best in part shade, RICH soil and regular water. A bold Fuchsia with large heart shaped leaves of a soft mien edged in creamy white. Copious amounts of tubular  light orange/red flowers tipped in cream appear until frost. Arching habit to 20” tall and as wide in a single season. Best as a container component, where it will provide contrast.Tender to cold. In the ground plant in a protected location- plant it deeply and mulch well each fall. Part shade to shade in RICH, moist soil. Fuchsia hatschbachii Zn7a (0º to 5ºF) Onagraceae
One of our most favorite garden Fuchsias, this particular variety has been grown as F. regia in the past. This is the true name. It is quite possibly one of the hardiest of all Fuchsias. Wood remains unfrozen on this variety down to 15ºF. A very tall, arching shrub that may also be treated as a non-twining climber. Thin shiny leaves are very dark green and willowy. At the tips of new growth continuous red and purple flowers appear. The tube and sepals appear shiny on this Fuchsia and the flowers are tipped outward, beckoning hummingbirds. To 7’ tall in a year and spreading to 5’ wide. May be cut to the ground to regrow/refresh in early spring. Tolerates many situations from part shade to full sun. Rich soil and regular water is important. Excellent garden plant.
 
Fuchsia ‘Insulinde’ Zn8b (15º to 20ºF) Onagraceae
A variety very much like Gartenmeister but a big improvement. Purple/ burgundy leaves on a tall growing plant to 30". Profuse, intense, coral tubular flowers from each branch tip throughout the season. Good branching w/ out pinching. Excellent container Fuchsia. Part shade in rich soil with regular water and fertilizer. Overwinter slightly dry in a garage, repot and fertilize in April or plant deeply in the ground and mulch.

A cold hardy Fuchsia that is excellent in the ground in part shade, rich soil with regular water. To 3' tall and wide, resprouts from the base vigorously if frozen. Dark red sepals with a corolla of deep purple black. Exceptionally nice foliage that is velvety to the touch and tinted red. Upright habit. Good in containers, much hardier in the ground. Plant with the crown slightly below ground level for added vigor, winter protection.

A rare but spectacular hardy Fuchsia selected in Scotland that grows very quickly to at least 4' each season. Profuse small flowers (the size of regular hardy Fuchsias) with sepals that are white in warm weather and tinged with pink when its cooler. The corolla is dark purple/blue.Yes, its as cool as it sounds.  Full sun (but not reflected heat) to part shade with regular water in rich soil. Blooms June until frost. Cold hardy.
 
Fuchsia magellanica ‘Hawkshead’ Zn7a (0º to 5ºF) Onagraceae
One of the most regal forms of hardy Fuchsia, 'Hawkshead'  forms a large shrub
to 4' tall and as wide- larger for well grown plants. From early June until frost white flowers with sepals delicately tipped in green.  Rich soil and regular water to establish a large root system. Part shade to sun. Excellent as an informal hedge with light pink Fuchsia 'Whiteknight's Pearl'. Prune dead wood out in spring AFTER new growth has begun.
 
Fuchsia magellanica ‘Versicolor’ Zn7a (0º to 5ºF) Onagraceae
A beautiful and tough form of the “Hardy Fuchsia”. Leaves of light gray edged in white provide contrast with delicate red stems. In late summer curtains of think red and purple flowers give this upright growing plant added grace. Top is hardy to about 24ºF. Expect it to freeze to the ground and resprout from the base.  Established plants rise to 30” tall and as wide. Must have rich soil and regular uninterrupeted growth through the season. Plant deeply.
 
Fuchsia ‘Orange Drops’ Zn8b (15º to 20ºF) Onagraceae
We don’t normally grow many tender Fuchsias but this very lax (almost trailing) variety has some of the very best TRUE orange flowers of any hybrid. To 1’ tall and spreading to nearly 3’ wide it makes a VERY impressive container plant. ‘Orange Drops’ works especially well with the very hot colors of Coleus and other vivid tropical annuals. Very profuse bloomer lining the stems with flowers continually form Mother’s Day until a hard freeze. Sepals are true orange with a corolla of true dark orange. Part shade, moist, rich soil. Avoid exposure to strong drying winds...Fuchsias HATE that.

Fuchsia ‘Preston Guild’ Zn7b (5º to 10ºF) Onagraceae
'Preston Guild' is an ultra cold hardy and floriferous Fuchsia with a tidy upright growing habit. To 2' tall it produces single flowers with white sepals which reflex heavily after opening (reminiscent of Oragami) and a corolla of violet blue that fades to lavender. Morning sun or part shade with rich soil and regular water. As all do, freezes to the ground at 24∞F, returns in late spring. Mulch in fall.

Fuchsia procumbens ‘Mary Miller’ Zn7b (5º to 10ºF) Onagraceae
A charming hardy fuchsia is native to sand dunes in New Zealand. The variegated form makes a striking groundcover and is a nice backdrop to the small upward facing flowers that glow golden yellow with purple sepals and anthers with blue pollen. Relatively large berries follow. Full sun to light shade, regular water. Deciduous. 3" tall by 2' wide. Same plant as 'variegata'- this is the correct name.
